Reza Enterprises sells tickets for buses, tours, and other travel services. Because Reza frequently mistypes long ticket numbers, Reza Enterprises has asked his students to write an application that shows if a ticket is invalid. Your application/program tellsthe ticket agent to enter a six-digit ticket number. Ticket numbers are designed so that if you lose the last digit of the number, then divide by 7, the remainder of the division is exactly the same to the last dropped digit. This process is shown below:
Step 1: Enter the ticket number; for example 123454
Step 2: Remove the last digit, leaving 12345
Step 3: Determine the remainder when the ticket number from step 2 is divided by 7. In this case, 12345 divided by 7 leaves a remainder of 4.
Step 4: Display a message to the ticket agent indicating whether the ticket number is valid or not..
Test your application with the following ticket numbers:
- 123454; is a valid ticket number
- 147103; is a valid ticket number
- 154123; is not a valid ticket number

The inclusion of the digit in an account number helps ascertain whether the number is a valid one. Write an application named CheckDigit that asks a user to enter a four-digit account number and determines whether it is a valid number. The number is valid if the fourth digit is the remainder when the number represented by the first three digits of the four-digit number is divided by 7. For example, 7770 is valid, because 0 is the remainder when 777 is divided by 7. If the account number is valid, output The account number is valid. If the account number is invalid output Invalid. If the account number is too short or too long output Account number invalid - it must have 4 digits.arrow_forwardWrite the pseudocode to create a lotto game. The user will select three numbers from 1 to 9. If the user enters a number outside of this range, then they must beprompted to re-enter the number until it meets the criteria. The numbers must be unique and must not be duplicated. Generate three random numbers from 1 to 9 in value and compare the three random numbers against the user's selection of numbers. If they are equal to the random number, then that is match.arrow_forward
- Pendant Publishing edits multi-volume manuscripts for many authors. For each volume, they want a label that contains the author’s name, the title of the work, and a volume number in the form Volume 9 of 9. For example, a set of three volumes requires three labels: Volume 1 of 3, Volume 2 of 3, and Volume 3 of 3. Design an application that reads records that contain an author’s name, the title of the work, and the number of volumes. The application must read the records until eof is encountered and produce enough labels for each work. The flowchart must include a call symbol, at the beginning, to redirect the input to the external data file. create a solution algorithm using pseudocode create a flowchart using RAPTORarrow_forward,arrow_forwardAn online retailer sells five products whose retail prices are as follows: Product 1, $2.98; product 2, $4.50; product 3, $9.98; product 4, $4.49 and product 5, $6.87. Write an application that reads a series of pairs of numbers as follows: a) product number b) quantity sold Your program should use a switch statement to determine the retail price for each product. It should calculate and display the total retail value of all products sold. Use a sentinel-controlled loop to determine when the program should stop looping, until product number not equal to 0 and display the final results. The Output as shown: Enter product number (1-5 or 0 to stop): 1 Enter quantity sold: 5 Enter product number (1-5 or 0 to stop): 5 Enter quantity sold: 3 Enter product number (1-5 or 0 to stop): 4 Enter quantity sold: 4 Enter product number (1-5 or 0 to stop): 3 Enter quantity sold: 6 Enter product number (1-5 or 0 to stop): 5 Enter quantity sold: 2 Enter product number (1-5 or 0 to stop): 0 Total retail…arrow_forward

Directions: In this program you will ask the user for 4 integers that represtent two fractions. First ask for the numerator of the first and then the denominator. Then ask for the numerator and denominator of the second. Your program should add the two fractions and print out the result. For example: a sample program run might look like this, Numerator One: 1 Denominator One: 2 Numerator Two: 2 Denominator Two: 5 The sum is 9/10 //remember if you have two fractions, the following formula should be used: a/b + c/d = (a*d +b*c) / b* d public class MyProgram { public static void main(String[] args) { //Ask the user for 4 numbers. - Assignment details: Replace all the 0 (Zero) digits in your ID by 4. Example: If your ID is 38104680, it becomes 38144684 Take the first 6 digits and substitute them in this expression (( A + B) / C) * ((D-E)/F)-2) according to the following table; Letter Replace by Digit Example Digit A 1st 3 B 2nd 8 C 3rd 1 D 4th 4 E 5th 4 F 6th 6 After substitution your expression will be similar to this (( 3 + 8) / 1) * ((4-4)/6)-2).
