The New Deal was a series of reforms that took place under U.S. President, Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933 to 1939. The Deal was created with the target of creating certain projects that would help the U.S. recover from the Great Depression and bring back prosperity to America. The reforms were targeted to bring stability to the domestic economy and provide employment to the ones who suffered during these times. In this, a lot of public work projects and regulations were enacted in various sectors of the economy. Historians argue that this was a political realignment to recover the U.S. economy and polity. The First New Deal (1933-1934) brought in a lot of fiscal policies and public works for the relief of its citizens. The Second New Deal (1934-1936) brought more social and tax policies into the picture.
