length L1 = 200 mm , L2 = 300 mm, L= 400 mm

Diameter d1 = 30 mm , d2 = 20 mm , d3 = 40 mm

Young modulus of elasticity, E = 1*105 N/mm

Area A1 = π*302/4 = 706.86 mm2

Area A2 = π*202/4 = 314.16 mm2

Area A3 = π*402/4 = 1256.64 mm2

Therefore,

Total elongation , Δ = Δ1+ Δ2+ Δ3
