Q10: The following values were found from the corrected load versus penetration curve Satisfactory
after completing a CBR test.
N
Based on the above values find the following values.
+ Find CBR values for 2.5 mm penetration and 5.0 mm penetration and
Find the
ported CBR value.
(PC 3.5, 4.2, RSs 6, RK 39)
A:
Given,
Corrected Load at 2.5 mm penetration =5.4 KN
Corrected Load at 5 mm penetration= 8.2 KN
Standard value of load for 2.5 and 5 mm penetration is 1370 kg (or 13.43 KN) and 2055 kg (or 20.15 KN)
Therefore,
we use 13.2 kN and 19.8 kN
54
CBR2.5 = Given load on plunger at 2.5 mm penetration/ Standard load = = 0.402
CBR5 = Given load on plunger at 5 mm penetration/ Standard load = 2015 = 0.406
Hence, CBR5 > CBR2.5, Hence test has to be repeated if it's done first time but here the corrected value of
Joads are given, hence value of CBR5 will be reported i.e 0.406
Wat is reported CBR?
