Answer complete Using Analysis and Design of One way Slab provisions of 2015. with complete solutions.. ty..

Transcribed Image Text:PROBLEM 11.3:
A reinforced concrete slab consists of two equal spans, each with a clear span of 4.5m. The service
live load is 4.8 kPa. Assume fé = 27.6 MPa and fy = 415MPa for all bars. Unit weight of concrete
is Y = 23.5 kN/m³. The slab is not exposed to earth or weather. Design the slab following provisions
of NSCP 2015. Use 12mm for all bars.

- A twenty-story hospital building with a 400 ft x 200 ft footprint is to be built on a site underlain by fill over glacial sands. The building will have a 25-ft deep basement and will probably be supported on either a mat foundation located 5 ft below the bottom of the basement, or a deep foundation extending about 100 ft below the bottom of the basement. The groundwater table is about 30 ft below the ground surface and bedrock is about 120 ft below the ground surface. There are no accessibility problems at this site.
