Enzymes are mainly made up of proteins. They have their specific substrates on which they act. Digestive enzymes are mainly secreted in different parts of the alimentary canal. Some enzymes are secreted in mouth itself which help in the digestion of Carbohydrates, then few more enzymes are secreted in the gastric juice produced in the stomach. Finally the remaining set of enzymes are produced in the pancreatic juice secreted by the pancreas and intestinal juice produced from the small intestine part called duodenum.
