Name the type of tissue forming the epidermis

The tissue that covers the surface of the body from head to toe is called the skin. There are two of them. The epidermis is the name given to the outermost layer, primarily made up of dead cells and materials. The dermis is the term for the layer that lies underneath the epidermis. Lymphatics, blood vessels, and nerves are all present in the dermis. The outermost layer of skin, known as the epidermis, is visible and touchable. The skin cells are made of the protein keratin, which, along with other proteins, binds the skin cells together to make this layer.
