Step 1
The groups of nerve fibers linking the spinal cord are called spinal nerves. Spinal nerve transfer and receive information to and from the spinal cord through the motor, sensory and autonomic signals. It covers the whole body except above the neck region. The combination of nerve fibers arising from the dorsal and ventral roots of the spinal cord forms the spinal nerves. The afferent sensory axons are carried by the dorsal roots and efferent motor axon are carried through ventral roots
