I am only seeking help on the "Interpretation" question please.

**Confidence Interval Estimation for Population Parameters**

For each of the following types of statistics, write the formula we would use to find the 95% confidence interval estimating the associated population parameter. Do not actually attempt to calculate the interval! Just write what formula (in letters) we would use to find the interval, describe what each of the parts of the formula represent (adding numbers for letters you have actual values for, but not calculating anything), and explain why we would use that formula.

- You asked 300 adults whether or not they like cheese, and 197 said yes.
- The length of a particular species of tiger is known to have a standard deviation of 0.31 meters, and the 60 that you have sampled have a mean length of 3.2 meters.
- When 20 5th-graders were asked how many books they read per month, the mean was 14.3 books, with a standard deviation of 2.7 books.

**Interpretation**

What does the "confidence" level in a confidence interval mean? If we say we have a 90% confidence level for a confidence interval, it means that 90% of...what? Be sure to explain how this is related to the sampling distribution concepts we learned in Week 7. Sketch a picture that illustrates this relationship.

**Sample Needed**

For each of the following, determine the sample size needed to get the desired accuracy of the sample statistic in estimating the appropriate population parameter, with the desired level of confidence. Explain the process you use to find the needed sample size. Do not actually try to calculate the confidence interval, you don’t have enough information.

- You want to estimate the mean weight of a certain species of frog, within a margin of error no more than 0.7 grams, with 95% confidence. You have reason to believe the population standard deviation is known.
