According to conservation of energy

Potential energy is converted in to kinetic energy.

Kinetic energy of the ball before the throw W1 =mgh1

Kinetic energy of the ball after the rebound

W2 = mgh2

Lost during bounce = W1/W2

                            = mgh1/mgh2
