If the character shows you the card 4, what is the probability that the second card will be higher than a 4?

n the video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the characters often play a game with the player called “High Card/Low Card.”  The character has a deck of 9 cards numbered 1 through 9.  They select a card and reveal its number to you before asking if you think the next card they draw will be higher or lower than the card they drew first.

If the character shows you the card 4, what is the probability that the second card will be higher than a 4?  Note:  After drawing the first card, the character does not reshuffle it back into the deck.
