I need some help solving this:
I found the measured resistance to be R1=980, R2=982 and R3=490. I need to use these values to calculate the reference current and the output current of the widlar current source. I know the formula for the reference current is:
(V-Vbe)/R1
Im not sure what the formula for output current is nor how to solve for it. How would I go about solving this and is my reference current formula correct?

- Application Problem. A battery pack consisting of n 12V voltage cells connected in par- allel is shown in Figure 1.144. This battery pack is to provide a load current IL of at least 11.5A to the 12 load resistor RL as shown. Assuming that all voltage cells are identical with an open circuit voltage Ei of 12V and an internal resistance Ri of 0.32, calculate the number of cells n needed to provide a minimum of 11.5A to R1; that is, IL 2 11.5A. battery pack + E, E = 12V R= 0.30arrow_forwardOften it is useful to model complex chips as simple linear equivalent models to determine the effects of the current draw and to ensure safe operation of the circuit. Consider the circuit shown in figure 5, it is a model of a digital microprocessor circuit. Each current source represent the current drawn by a portion of a digital circuits in the microprocessor. The resistors represent the power distribution network from the supply to that portion of the processor. Each current source can only have the following values: either be off i.e. 0 or have a value of I.. The reason being digital circuits when they are not performing a computation consume zero power and when operational they consume an average current (in this case I). In our model all portions consume the same current when they are operational.
