Detective Colombo was ready to go to bed when his phone rang. He looked at the clock on
the wall, the clock was showing ten past midnight.
\Phone calls at this time of night never bring good news", thought Colombo while reaching for the
phone.
-\We just discovered a body, 458 Oakley drive" - a nervous voice on the other end of the phone
shouted.
- \Will be there in 20 minutes." said Colombo while getting dressed.
As the detective arrived at the scene, the house was a mess. The victim was discovered on the
couch in the living room. Detective Colombo touched the victim's hand, it still felt pretty warm.
Using his portable thermometer the detective took the victim's body temperature, it was 85F.
-Please do not touch the thermostat and let it stay at 70F, - he asked the other policemen as they
were arriving at the scene. \Any security cameras in the area?"
\Yes," one of the ocers replied,\ there is a camera on the corner of the building. Unfortunately, it
does not cover the entrance to the house, but it records everyone who walks past it. \
\ Let's take a look at who walked past the house in the last few hours" said the detective.
The camera showed the following:
00:09 Victim's roommate comes home and discovers the body
23:55 Young woman walks a dog
23:32 A man in a dark leather jacket walks by, he seems to be in a rush and keeps looking back.
22:59 Old lady walks by, carrying a bag of groceries.
22:28 Two men in sports out ts leisurely walk by, they are chatting and laughing
21:57 A couple walks by, holding hands
21:35 A jogger runs by
21:09 Three teenagers wearing hoodies walk by. One of them is carrying a can of beer in his hand.
The other two are smoking something, they look nervous and alert.
\Let me check the victim's temperature once more" said the detective. The temperature dropped
by 5 degrees and was at 80F. The clock on the wall was showing 1:30 AM.
Can you help the detective to figure out who is most likely related to the murder, or at least is
the most valuable witness?
The victim's relative, who was informed of their death shortly, said that the victim was
complaining of having bad symptoms of COVID 19 earlier that day. In particular, they had a 104F

One twin tells you of a lucky number pair:“When I multiply my first lucky number by 3 and my second lucky number by 6, the addition of the resulting numbers produces a sum of 12. - suppose we have the following numbers 5,8,12,3 and 4 we want to add one more so that the mean of all the values will be 9. what number should be addedarrow_forwardThis is only one questionarrow_forwardAs I was driving along the highway to Cleveland, I noticed a speedometer check along the side of the road with posted signs 1 mile apart. I timed us and found that it took us 5 minutes and 45 seconds to travel 5 miles. We had the car set on cruise control, so we were traveling at a constant speed. A while later we passed a sign that said “Akron 76 miles.” At that speed, how long did it take us to drive those 76 miles to Akron? - The workers of the company "Malova" work in a 5-day work week and worked them for 22 days in the month of November 2020. The standard work schedule is 8 hours per day with a 30-minute break included in this time. Now, "Malova's" company is in the process of manufacturing screwdrivers and manufactured 3100 pieces of screwdrivers. In addition, the company manufactures screwdrivers in batches of 300 and after each batch makes a pause to check the quality of production and make certain adjustments to the machines if necessary.
