The article is relevant to my study as reviews the challenges in understanding the factors that continue to shape the development of homeschooling in the United States. It summarizes data related to homeschooler’s academic achievement, socialization and need for special education services. The article also describes the state regulations aimed at testing requirements and state laws on the provision of services to students with disabilities and provides recommendations for school psychology providers to establish or promote productive relationships with homeschool communities. The article work collaboratively with the other references as they all cover the same topic and focus on the same issues. The Covid-19 pandemic led to schools closing temporarily close from March 2020 to June 2020, causing unpredictable changes in instructional patterns and context. The concept of homeschooling started which needed parents to support the curriculum implementation through remote learning. This article reviews a case study focusing on the experiences of ten parents of the Elementary school children during the lockdown in Alberta Canada. The parents stated that the schools’ demands were very unreasonable to them. These increased the stress of professional losses and quarantine and the burden of working fulltime while fulfilling household responsibilities and having children who required parents to deliver weekly lesson plans that lacked clear expectations and good assessment pieces. There were doubts on the popular initiative of online education because of the unsuitability of online tools to foster independent learning among young children. The study is relevant in my project as it provides significant contributions to educate o how to increase support learning from home during the pandemic. The article focuses on the varying motivation of homeschooling. There are several innovations such as online schools, microschools, support centers and co-ops which are facilitating diversity.
