From a general perspective, state and discuss what you understand to be the state of human rights in contemporary Africa
The protocols that help in providing equality and dignity to human beings are known as human rights. With this, states define how the citizens of their country operate and will be treated. Human rights are put in place to help people. These are laws that are to be used by the government or authorities when it comes to the responsibility that they have towards the protection of people. Essentially, these laws make sure that individuals are treated with the respect that they deserve and have access to the resources that they need.
These rights are applicable to people everywhere in the world - they cannot be given up nor can they be taken away. These laws are also interrelated. In that, the application of one depends on the other. Furthermore, rights are given to all irrespective of their religion, class, caste, colour, race, economical status etc. Individuals are encouraged to demand what is rightfully theirs. Authorities and governing bodies too need to adhere to these. In case of any violations, they can be taken to the court.
