apparatus consists of a cylindrical bar with a track in which a slider can move. The bar is strapped
and fixed on the patient's body while the hand is strapped on the slider.
(a) Describe and sketch the apparatus as a four-bar mechanism assuming that the shoulder joint, the
elbow joint, the lower and upper arms are part of the mechanism.
(b) Assign reasonable lengths to the links of the mechanism you have described in part (a); calculate
the velocities of the lower and upper arms when the slider is at the middle of the track and going
downwards at a speed of 0.2 m/s.
