Question

Explain Pink flowers are the result of incomplete dominance?

Expert Solution
Step 1

Inheritance patterns are of different type’s   Mendelian inheritance, incomplete dominance, co-dominance, sex-linked, and dihybrid crosses. incom

Step 2

Normally genes follow mendelian pattern of inheritance like dominance and recessive.

Just to explain dominant and receive we have taken eye colour

Taking red eye colour it is dominant to white eye colour

Red allele R white r

RR and Rr gives red colour eye

rr gives white eye colour

Homozygous individuals are red and white and heterozygous individual is white here the phenotype is similar to the homozygous individual.

But in non mendelain inheritance the phenotype of heterozygous individual is different from the homozygous individual.
