Expert Solution
Distribution of water into zones

Water bodies are divided into different zones according to the presence of flora and fauna.

The following are

1-Clean zone: Water is clear than in other zones. It has high dissolved oxygen and very low biological oxygen demand.

2-Decomposition zone: In this zone decomposition of waste or algal bloom takes place, so dissolve oxygen goes down, and biological oxygen demand increases.

3-Septic zone: In this zone, only bacteria for decomposition is survived, and all other organisms are absent. It has the very lowest dissolved oxygen.

4-Recovery zone: In this zone, decomposition stops. Recovering of dissolved oxygen starts.
