I am to do a project for an inferential statistics class and I would like some basic guidance.  I am to propose a research question. My proposed research question is "Does drinking stimulants such as coffee improve a student's grades?" My question is what type of hypothesis test should I use. My options are  (Test of Association hypothesis test), (Goodness of Fit hypothesis test), (Two sample hypothesis test for means), and a(Two sample hypothesis test for proportions). My guess is it would be a (Two sample hypothesis test for proportions)? The only other potential category I could see it falling in is  (Test of Association hypothesis test).
