10. Wind turbines are notorious bird killers. In the name of green energy, a study was conducted to
reduce harm to these flying beasts. It is thought that blade color can either attract or detract
insects, in turn attracting or detracting birds and bats. The study was conducted to determine
if blade color influenced fatality counts. Four different wind farms around the country took
in the study and location of the farm may have an impact on bird availability. At each farm,
wind turbines were randomly assigned to have blades of white, purple, or yellow. At the end of
the study, number of bird strikes were recorded.

- Fifty-four wild bears were anesthetized, and then their weights and chest sizes were measured and listed in a data set. Correlation Results Results are shown in the accompanying display. Is there sufficient evidence to support the claim that there is a linear correlation between the weights of bears and their chest sizes? When measuring an anesthetized bear, is it easier to measure chest size than weight? If so, does it appear that a measured chest size can be used to predict the weight?
