- Do the ends justify the means in the Three-Fifths Compromise?
Introduction:
Slavery was just not a practice against the idea of liberty or freedom, but indeed was a challenge faced by the society during past times which was the denial of basic right of existence as human within the society.
The practice was most prevalent in the American province which even became one of the cause for the American Civil War. The word civil used here is in direct relation to the society in which the uncivil practice of slavery was being practiced and at will of the upper class.
The Three-Fifths Compromise was a compromise made between the Northern and Southern states of the American provinces in which it was held as a constitutional convention, somewhere around the period of 1787 that, three-fifths of the slavery held population would be liable for taxation and would also get representation in the federal government.
