The American revolution was a political and ideological revolution that occurred in British America between the years 1765 and 1791. The Americans who lived in the 13 colonies defeated the English army by forming independent states. The Americans were against the idea of being taxed by the parliament of Great Britain, a body in which they had no direct representative.
Advantages and disadvantages of the British and Americans during the American revolution:-
1. For the British;
a. Advantages-
1. British armies were well-equipped and trained.
2. Their Navy was strong.
3. Britain was the wealthiest country at that time.
b. Disadvantages-
1. Battlefront for them was miles away and reinforcement was not easy.
2. Orders from London often took months to reach their destinations.
3. Some people from parliament were against the idea of war and sided with the Americans.
