Eicosanoids

Eicosanoids are derived from the polyunsaturated fatty acids called Prostaglandins arachidonic acid. They are biologically active lipid mediators.

Classification:

It is classified into two main groups

• Prostanoids
• Leukotrienes and lipoxins
