The purpose of the assigniment is to develop a reasonable and efficient synthetic route to the molecule assigned to you and your partners.  Synthetic Route: Using the constraints that you are given, such as starting materials, develop a reasonable and efficient route to your molecule. Retrosynthetic analysis (optional) will allow you to look into multiple synthetic options before choosing one approach. Show reaction mechanism for each individual step (if known or studied in the course), using curved arrows to indicate the flow of electrons. The constraint here is that all the carbon atoms in the target compound should only come from the corresponding starting materials given. You can use the given starting materials more than one time, if necessary, to prepare the target compound. You can also use other organic and inorganic reagents as long as their carbon atoms do not end up in your target structure!!!
