Step 1: Radical and incremental innovation

Without a question, innovation served as the "engine" for advancement, competitive advantage, and economic prosperity. Innovation is seen as "a matter of life and death for a corporation." The paradox is that there are paradoxically still some comprehension gaps regarding the nature of the innovation and its significance in the modern world.

Although there are numerous definitions of the innovation process, all inventions often have three fundamental components: newness, improvement, and the removal of ambiguity. Although such newness could be interpreted as something original to the form or sector as a whole, it is likely one of the most crucial components of innovation. The necessity for businesses to find products of higher quality than those on the market now is related to improvement. In order to eliminate uncertainty, an improvement must be established by the market, and the needs of the market must be stated. Additionally, it is crucial to keep in mind that the advancement of technology is the driving force behind all of these factors. Therefore, it is evident that the invention process is difficult and involves many variables to be considered.

The many forms of innovation must be taken into account. Innovations are typically categorised as:
Radical innovation: The invention of a brand-new technology that can produce a never-before-seen good is the fundamental principle behind radical innovation.
Incremental innovation: The goal of incremental innovation is to improve existing goods by gradually adding new features and benefits by drawing on feedback from consumers or other stakeholders.
