Care Online’s Stand-Up! programs educate participants on how to reduce the dangers of racism, prejudice, discrimination, and bullying. Delivered by our skilled and dedicated volunteers our Stand-Up! Programs promote acceptance of diversity within our community, transform bystander behaviour, and inspire participants to become Stand-Uppers! Stand-Up! Programs encourage young people to become aware of how they can make a positive difference. They include practical tools for standing up against racism, bullying and prejudice by empowering participants to take positive action – in the schoolyard, workplaces, and in our communities. We deliver Stand-Up! Programs free of charge to secondary schools (SYP) and primary schools (MYP) across Victoria. Stand-Up! Programs are also available for community groups and workplaces across Victoria. We also offer Professional Learning programs for both primary and secondary school teachers. Online materials are available, and more are being developed for use across all Stand-Up! Programs. Later in the year the organisation is celebrating its 10th anniversary and is keen to develop an understanding of what journalists and media outlets may be interested in covering this important milestone. You should use Margaret Gee’s Media Guide and online research to develop a list of journalists and influencers who are likely to cover the anniversary and the good work done by Care Online.
