There are three kinds of solutions hypotonic, hypertonic, and isotonic. At the point when the solute amount in the external solution is less than the solution inside the cell then it will be called hypotonic. When the solute amount is higher in the external solution and is lower inside the cell, then the external solution is called hypertonic. When both the external solution and the solution inside the cell are of an equivalent amount of solute then it is known as an isotonic solution.
