Transcribed Image Text:1. Ammonia (A) is diffusing through a stagnant gas mixture consisting of one-third
nitrogen (B) and two-thirds Hydrogen (C) by volume. The total pressure is 206.8
kpa and the temperature is 540C. Calculate the rate of diffusion of ammonia
through a film gas 0.5 mm thick when the concentration change across the film is
5% volume. The diffusivities at 2000C and one standard atmosphere pressure air
reported to be
DAB- 5.391 x 105 m²/s and DAc= 1.7371 x 104 m/s
2. Determine the Sherwood number based on the diameter of the sphere for
equimolal counter-diffusion from sphere to a surrounding stationary infinite
medium.
