Diffusion is the passive movement of molecules or particles (for example, atoms, ions, molecules, energy) from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration.
Option B is Correct:- Because heavier particles will move more slowly and so will have a slower rate of diffusion. Smaller particles on the other hand will diffuse faster because they can move faster.
Option C is Correct:- If the diffusion distance is large, diffusion happens slower because the particles have as far to travel.
Option D is Correct:- Because as the density of a solvent increases, the rate of diffusion decreases. The molecules slow down because they have a more difficult time getting through the denser medium. If the medium is less dense, diffusion increases.
