Step 1 Introduction on Diabetes and Chronic alcoholism:

Diabetes is a condition where it prevents the body from properly absorbing energy from the food that we eat because of insufficient insulin production. Thus the pancreas either produces little insulin or is insulin resistance. Alcoholism is defined basically by tolerance (need to drink more), physical dependence, cravings and compulsive drinking. Excess alcohol can damage liver cells as it is a toxin and can lead to cirrhosis as well as will lead to fatty liver disease.
