Question 1: Non-Uniform Electric Fields
Question 1: Backed Into a Corner
3 charged spheres are arranged at right angles to each other. For simplicity, consider sphere B to be at the origin. Sphere B has a charge of 5x10-6 coulombs.
Sphere A is fixed in place 0.4 metres above B, and has a charge of 7x10-6 coulombs.
Sphere C is fixed in place 0.6 metres right of B, and has a charge of -8x10-6 coulombs.
- Draw a diagram showing the initial setup, as well as all distances and charge values.
- Find the net force (magnitude and direction) on sphere B.
