has a slope of 1 in2750. If the manning's roughness coefficient (n) is 0.015:
a) Calculate the critical depth and normal depth.(3%)
b) Describe specific energyin short, and determine the specific energy for the given
channel.(2.5%)
c) Decide whether the flow is in sub critical, super critical, or critical condition.(1.5%)
3. Using Buckingham Pi method of dimensional analysis (the method of repeating variables),
show that the flow rate of a liquid (Q)over a notch can be given by the dimensionless group.

a. Determine the time ratio (t), velocity ratio (v), and discharge ratio (Q).
b. What should be the discharge (On) in the model channel if the discharge in the prototype is 150
