The number of times a data occurs in a data set is known as the frequency of data. 

  • Frequency distribution table : 

A frequency distribution table is a chart that summarizes values and their frequency. It's a useful way to organize data if you have a list of numbers that represent the frequency of a certain outcome in a sample. A frequency distribution table has two columns.

The first column lists all the various outcomes that occur in the data, and the second column lists the frequency of each outcome. Putting this kind of data into a table helps make it simpler to understand and analyze.   

A histogram is a bar graph which shows frequency distribution.

 To make a histogram, follow these steps:

  1. On the vertical axis, place frequencies. Label this axis "Frequency".
  2. On the horizontal axis, place the lower value of each interval. Label this axis with the type of data shown . 
  3. Draw a bar extending from the lower value of each interval to the lower value of the next interval. The height of each bar should be equal to the frequency of its corresponding interval.
