Psalm CXXVIIIIX. Sir Edwin Sandys
O
True fear of power divine endues:
Religous soule, that ne’er departs
From way which blisful life renues.
Thyn house thy cheerful hands shall rear:
And labours iust, with blessing cround,
Shall feeding fruit still plenteous fear.
In fruitful love hast ioious met,
Thy children sweet, in virtue bred,
Fair olive-plants, thy boord beset.
From Sion deer thee God shall bless,
And quiet home shall plentie see,
And life contented long possess.
Jerusalem’s great weal may vieu,
And wasting life itself espy
In children’s children to renue.
Stil righteous life with care maintain,
So happie long maist thou endure,
So peace to Israel long remain.
