William Wood (1864–1947)

Wood, William. A Canadian historian; born in 1864; died in 1947. His best-known work is ‘The Fight for Canada’ (1904). In addition he wrote: ‘In the Heart of Old Canada,’ ‘Folksongs of New France,’ ‘The Epic of the Ursulines,’ ‘Elizabethan Sea-Dogs,’ and various other works.
