William Douglas O’Connor (1832–1889)

O’Connor, William Douglas. An American author; born in Boston, 1832; died in 1889. He was on the editorial staff of the Saturday Evening Post (1854–60) and afterwards held several government positions at Washington, DC. His chief works are: ‘The Ghost’ (1856); ‘Harrington’ (1860), a novel: ‘Hamlet’s Note-Book’ (1886).
