Thomas Bulfinch (1796–1867)

Bulfinch, Thomas. An American author; born in Boston, July 15, 1796; died there, May 27, 1867. He graduated from Harvard College in 1814. Although engaged in business, he managed to devote considerable time to literature. Among his best-known works are: ‘The Age of Fable’ (1855); ‘Age of Chivalry’ (1858); ‘Legends of Charlemagne’ (1864); ‘Oregon and Eldorado’ (1866).
