Paul Desjardins (1859–1940)

Desjardins, Paul (dā-zhär-da‘). A French writer of essays on social and moral questions; born in 1859; died in 1940. He was professor of rhetoric in the St. Stanislas College, Paris, and later at the Lycée Michelet. His studies of social phenomena were collected under the general title ‘Contemporary Notes.’ One of his works led to the formation of the Union of Moral Action.
