Lycurgus

Lycurgus (lī-kėr’gus). An Attic orator of the fourth century B.C. He was a disciple of Plato and Isocrates, and a zealous adherent of the patriotic party. His ‘Oration against Leocrates’ is extant; it is notable less for form than for noble and dignified exposition.
