Lucien Perey (1825–1914)

Perey, Lucien (pār-ā’), pseudonym of Luce Herpin (ār-pa). A French critic and essayist; born in Carouge, Switzerland, 1825; died in 1914. Her best works are: ‘A Woman of the World in the Eighteenth Century: The Youth of Madame d’Épinay’; ‘The Last Years of Madame d’Épinay’; and ‘The Private Life of Voltaire at Délices and at Ferney.’
