Louis Ehlert (1825–1884)

Ehlert, Louis (ā’lert). A German composer and writer on music; born in Königsberg, Jan. 13, 1825; died in Wiesbaden, Jan. 4, 1884. ‘Letters on Music to a (Female) Friend’ (1859), ‘Roman Days’ (1867), and ‘From the World of Harmony’ (2d ed. 1882), are his literary successes.
