Lorenzo Snow (1814–1901)

Snow, Lorenzo. President of the Mormon Church; born in Mantua, OH, April 13, 1814; died in Salt Lake City, UT, Oct. 10, 1901. He founded and named Brigham City, UT, was ordained one of the Twelve Apostles in 1849 and president of the Twelve in 1889. Among his published works are: ‘The Italian Mission,’ ‘The Only Way to be Saved,’ ‘The Voice of Joseph.’ He also translated the ‘Book of Mormon’ into Italian.
