Jules Romain Tardieu (1805–1868)

Tardieu, Jules Romain (tär-dyė’). A French story-writer; born at Rouen, 1805; died in 1868. Among his stories and sketches are: ‘The Art of Being Miserable’ (1856); ‘The Truce of God: Recollections of a Sunday in Summer’ (1862); ‘Book for Children who Cannot Read’ (1863).
