Pollard, Josephine. An American writer of juvenile literature; born in New York City in 1834; died there, Aug. 15, 1892. Her works include: ‘The Gypsy Books’ (1873–74); ‘Elfin Land’ (1882), poems; ‘Gellivor, a Christmas Legend’ (1882); ‘The Boston Tea Party’ (1882).
