Moore, John Trotwood. An American author; born in Marion, AL, Aug. 26, 1858; died in 1929. He wrote ‘Songs and Stories from Tennessee’ (1897); ‘Ole Mistis’ (1897); ‘A Summer Hymnal’ (1901); ‘The Bishop of Cottontown’; ‘The Old Cotton Gin’ (1910); ‘Jack Ballington, Forester’ (1911).
