Partridge, John. An English poet and translator; he flourished in the latter half of the sixteenth century. Besides prose work, he wrote: ‘The Most Famouse and Worthie Historie of the Worthy Lady Pendavola’; ‘The Worthye Historie of the Most Noble and Valiaunt Knight Plasidas’; ‘The Notable Hystorie of the Two Famous Princes of the World, Astianax and Polixena’—all published in 1566.
