Jan ten Brink (1834–1901)

Brink, Jan ten. A Dutch novelist and critic; born at Appingedam, June 15, 1834; died at Leyden, July 19, 1901. Besides essays on the literature of his own country, of France, and of England, he wrote several novels; among them: ‘Mrs. de Roggeveen’s Son-in-Law’; ‘Holland Dames and Cavaliers’; ‘Jan Starter and his Wife’; and a ‘Historic Essay on the French Revolution.’
