Isaac Sharpless (1848–1920)

Sharpless, Isaac. An American educator and author; president of Haverford College (1887–1917); born in Chester County, PA, Dec. 16, 1848; died in 1920. Among his works, which are on educational and historical subjects, are ‘A Quaker Experiment,’ ‘Quakers in the Revolution,’ ‘Two Centuries of Pennsylvania History,’ ‘English Education in Elementary and Secondary Schools,’ ‘The American College’ (1915).
