Hugh Black (1868–1953)

Black, Hugh. A Scottish clergyman; born at Rothesay, Buteshire, March 28, 1868; died in 1953. He was professor of practical theology in the Union Theological Seminary, New York, after 1906. He published many volumes of sermons and essays; among the more recent are: ‘According to My Gospel’ (1913); ‘The Open Door’ (1914); ‘The New World’ (1915).
