Gustave d’Eichtal (1804–1886)

Eichtal, Gustave d’ (ī’ċh’täl or esh-täl’). A French, historical and ethnological writer; born in Nancy, March 22, 1804; died in Paris, April 9, 1886. He began studying social problems, but subsequently applied himself to such topics as ‘The Black Race and the White Race’ (partly by J. Urbain: 1839), ‘Critical and Comparative Investigation of the First Three Gospels’ (1863), and ‘Christianity and the Three Great Mediterranean Peoples’ (1864).
